Scripture reference: Isaiah 61:1-2; Luke 4:18-19“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor, He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor”.It is our conviction as the people that have been redeemed through the cross, that by the anointing of the Spirit of the Lord, we (Chicago City Blessing) are commissioned to transform the world for His glory through: preaching the Good News; setting the captives free; performing miracles, sign and wonders; and ushering revival into the land.Our main Christian beliefs are: the unity among members of the congregation of Christian believers; the critical difference that prayer makes in the lives and actions of Christians; the power and importance of the Holy Scripture and Gospels as the inspired and infallible Word of God; and the recognition of Jesus Christ as the Lord and Savior. Since individuals are saved by grace through faith, we place a strong emphasis on preaching and teaching others to worship God, commitment to local church as spiritual home for our faith, and mission work.
